Hatch Dance Theater is a non-profit professional-minded, youth Modern Dance performance company located in Philadelphia, PA which includes a repertory, school and outreach programs.
Our focus is on movement as contemporary art through the techniques of Modern Dance, Theater, Creative Movement, Improvisation, Composition and Choreography.
Our goals are to introduce, develop and be responsible for the continuing education of Modern Dance ideas for children, adolescents and adults, and to facilitate our audience’s understanding of this contemporary art form. We present children and youth a Modern Dance experience not provided in other dance programs until first encountered in university settings as one of dance’s main disciplines.
Hatch Dance Theater offers adult professional dancers and university dance majors an opportunity to perform with our young dancers. We offer workshops and performances for non-professional movers, parents and artists of any age.
Hatch is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
